Acoustic Zen Loudspeakers

On this page, you will find information on the following Acoustic Zen loudspeakers:
Adagio Floor standing speaker, The Adagio Jr Stand Mount, Adagio Center Channel and their newest introduction, the Crescendo.

The Adagio loudspeakers have a very flat impedance curve making  extremely tube friendly which is very important to a company such as Response Audio who specializes in tube amplifiers.

When the synergy of theory, practice, and technology is optimized to deliver music without compromise, "Musical Enlightenment" is achieved.

Robert Lee of Acoustic Zen Technologies has been applying his extensive knowledge and experience to the design and production of some of the industry’s most acclaimed interconnects, power cords, and speaker cables in the service of this goal. The results have garnered international awards, but more importantly, yielded musical joy for countless listeners.

Finally, after years of development and testing, the transmission of music becomes more complete with Acoustic Zen Technologies Adagio speaker.  Within the Adagio speaker, theory, practice, and technology are brought together into a musical harmony.

Note: Response Audio will not sell to areas covered by another authorized Adagio dealer.

Following the success of the Adagio and Adagio Jr. Loudspeakers, Acoustic Zen Technologies set forth to create another ground-breaking loudspeaker design based on our no compromise philosophy.

The CRESCENDO Loudspeaker, our newest 3-way full range loudspeaker model features the two 5-inch midrange drivers, two 8-inch woofers, and one horn loaded ribbon tweeter all in a transmission line design. The sound is remarkably clear, accurate, and life like.

JANUARY 2007:
Response Audio has launched the release of the Adagio EXtreme loudspeaker systems. Get the full details by clicking on the EXtreme picture.

Acoustic Zen's Adagio loudspeaker  uses a pair of 6.5-inch midrange/woofer driver in a specialized sandwich design with ceramic external layers around a fabric internal layer for maximum stiffness while minimizing cone breakup, flexing, and resonance.

A shortened, under-hung voice coil inside a long magnetic gap is said to results in having the voice coil behave in an extremely linear fashion throughout its entire travel, thereby reducing both harmonic and TIM distortion.

A limited production modified 1.62-inch circular ribbon tweeter has high power handling characteristics along with a linear impedance and phase response. The 0.01mm heat resistant Kapton membrane is almost weightless, providing an immediate and precise response to any transients in the original music signal.

The tweeter is flanked above and below by the 6.5-inch driver, with all drivers mounted on an enclosure with curved surfaces to minimize external diffraction. At the bottom of the cabinet is the internal transmission line port.

Nominal impedance is 6 ohm

Sensitivity  89dB/W/m.

Overall frequency response 30Hz to 30 kHz (±3dB)

Response Audio has spent some time with the Adagio loudspeakers and has come up with a nice synergistic system that we feel will satisfy even the most discriminating listeners and music lovers. Keep in mind that we do realize there are many combinations that will thrill the senses, this system is only one of the many we put together that we know works well from personal and consumer experience.

A match made in heaven!
