Clarity Labs
began
manufacturing audio cables in 1995 with the
goal being able to provide top quality cables at
a real world price that would allow your
system to show it's true potential. We do not
claim to be offering the "Miracle Wire", as
only your ears can tell you what feels and
sounds right. With that, we will not
overwhelm you with pages of specs and graphs
that tell you little about how our cables
will sound in your system. All Clarity Labs
cables are completely hand crafted and
tested from start to finish. There are no
machines, as this is a labor of love.
Completely US made.
Many of you will remember the
Clarity Labs Audio Cables that were once distributed by Response
Audio. Still our best selling cables after more than 10
years and for very good reason. They offer exceptional sound quality as well as value. Sadly
Clarity Labs is no longer around but Response Audio took over
Clarity Labs in 2005. To this
day, you will still find various Clarity Labs cabling used
throughout the world as well as our showroom. We have brought back these popular
cables and now in enhanced MK II versions. Clarity Labs cables continue to impress even the most
discriminating listeners around the globe.
Many companies use dissimilar metals between the wire and connectors. We don't believe a silver connector belongs on a copper cable nor a copper connector on a silver cable. You will also find that all of our cables are equipped with a damping material within the connector eliminating resonance at the connector and RCA/XLR jacks they are connected to. This material also acts as an adhesive so please do not try to remove the connectors as damage will occur to the cable and will not be covered under warranty.
Please contact us for the
PROPER way to evaluate audio cables.
All Clarity Labs cables are available for
audition at Response Audio.
All Clarity Labs cables are made and tested
to order and usually ship within 2-3
business days. Please allow up to 7 days for
longer lengths and/or speaker cables.

Clarity Series
Revolutionizing the Affordable Cable
|
Clarity Series
The new Clarity Series of interconnect
cables are the result of several years of
research and listening. Don't be fooled by
the clean, elegant look of the Clarity
Series as the sonic attributes of this cable
are the result of many proprietary factors.
One listen to the Clarity Series
interconnect cables and you will finally
realize the full potential of your system.
Over the years we have experimented and
even released cables based on precious
materials
such as Palladium and Gold and different
alloys and believe these cables still have
their places. The Clarity Series, especially
the Clarity Ag was brought forth with only
one goal in mind, to provide the cleanest,
quietest, most neutral signal possible.
Both the Clarity Ag and Clarity Cu utilize
several runs of the highest quality
conductor material to provide an optimal
equivalent AWG which is known by only a few
to be the optimal size for a cable
connecting two components. Combine this with
the proprietary connector damping material
and other connector secrets employed and you
have a cable that will let you hear further
into the music than one would ever think
possible.

Foxfire II &
Foxfire Silver Extreme
|
The
"Foxfire" interconnect is a true silver
reference quality cable. The original Foxfire was a silver hybrid cable that
was in production from 1997-2005 and is now being introduced as a MK
II full silver version.
The "Foxfire II" interconnect is a full
Silver design utilizing some of the finest materials available
resulting in more air, extension and speed as compared to the original Foxfire
Hybrid. For silver cable enthusiast, the Foxfire is the ultimate
decision.
This "Foxfire II" is currently a reference cable for many
throughout the globe including being one of the Reference
cables here at Response Audio for the evaluation and auditioning of
all of our exclusive, custom built tube products and modifications.
The Foxfire II is again
becoming very popular among those looking for the ultimate in
articulation and upper end airiness. This cable utilizes a high
purity, solid core Silver wire throughout as well as Silver RCA or
XLR connectors that offers fast clean bass, articulate yet musical
midrange and a very open, airy upper end with a soundstage you can
walk into. You will be sacrificing nothing with this cable. For
those looking for a "fat" sound, this is not the cable of
choice. The Foxfire II is fast and dynamic providing the end user
with a true to life presentation.
The
Foxfire II-X (Extreme)
steps up to several runs of small gauge solid core silver wire per
run for the last word in extension, air and detail throughout the
entire frequency range. The Foxfire
II-X has three times the amount of silver as compared to the
Foxfire II.
The critics agree, the
Foxfire is one of the finest interconnects available at this price
point and well beyond. It quickly became a reference cable for
many discriminating listeners.
The Foxfire II is a perfect cable mate for the
Purity Silver Statement Linestage as it utilizes the same core wire for internal
wiring keeping synergy in check.

"Foxfire" Silver Hybrid
......smooth and liquid with a sweet, open and
airy sound. It had lots of detail, presence and great pace and tempo
to boot.....
.....no other cable in our review had the
presence and well, clarity that the "Foxfire" possessed.....
....and the Clarity Wires "Foxfire" was our
mutual first choice.....

Harvest II &
Harvest II-X (Extreme)
|
Now includes the Harvest II
Loudspeaker cable.
The
"Harvest II" was designed as a high end solid
copper cable that
is suited for any type of system. Solid state and/or tubes. All
copper construction with a high purity, solid core copper signal
transfer wire and returns with a thin Teflon dielectric to minimize
skin effects. A killer cable for both solid state and tube systems.
The "Harvest II" offers a robust, full bodied presentation without
bloat or bloom. The Harvest exhibits silky smooth midrange and upper
end qualities in both tube and solid state systems without
sacrificing any inner detail, speed, transparency or definition.
The
perfect all-around
choice for any high resolution system providing speed and articulation.
Provides a very well balanced presentation throughout and makes for
the perfect choice for copper cable enthusiast.
The
Harvest II Extreme
(shown at right)
steps up to several runs of small gauge solid core copper/Teflon
wire per run for the last word in extension, air and detail. The
Harvest Extreme steps up to a heavier overall gauge as compared to the Harvest II. When ordering, just ask
for the Harvest II-X
The Harvest II-X is also
available as a balanced cable, the Harvest II-XB, using high quality Neutrik XLR
connectors.
The Harvest II-XS
is a fully shielded version of the
Harvest II-X. With the increasing level of EMI/RFI in our everyday
lives, we are receiving more and more inquiries for a shielded
cable.
The Harvest interconnects are a perfect cable mate for the
Purity Reference Linestage as it
utilizes the same core wire for internal wiring keeping synergy in
check.
The Harvest II-XB is a fully balanced version the Harvest II-X
and utilizes multiple runs of solid core Copper/Teflon for each of
the three legs.
High quality Neutrik Gold XLR connectors are used on the Harvest II-XB
balanced cables.
Price Increase:
Please note that we are almost out of our original Clarity Labs RCA
connectors. Once these are gone, we will be switching to a
difference RCA connector. Unfortunately, we cannot obtain these
connectors anywhere near the price we paid for the very large order
of the original connectors well over 10 years ago. The Harvest II
interconnect cables will see a slight price increase once we move to the
new connectors.

Harvest II-X
Loudspeaker Cable
|
|
The
Harvest II-X loudspeaker cable is comprised of multiple runs of
solid core Copper/Teflon wire for a equivalent gauge of 16 AWG and
finished off with the highest quality gold banana or spade
termination. Many years of listening to various materials, gauges
and braiding designs has led us to prefer an overall gauge of 16 AWG.
The Harvest II loudspeaker cable uses a similar "Bella Braid" as
used in our Musica Bella loudspeaker and interconnect cables. The
final result is exceptional speed, detail and air as well as
not exhibiting the fat, bloated and
rolled off sound of garden hose loudspeaker cables.
With so many loudspeaker cables on
the market these days, we had to be sure we meet the goals we set
forth for all Clarity Labs cabling. Our main focus was
speed,
detail and definition which is
exactly what the Harvest II loudspeaker cable provides.
Like the Harvest II-X
interconnect, the loudspeaker cables also provides
the ultimate in extension, air and detail.
Harvest II Loudspeaker
Cables Available in 4ft.-8ft. lengths only
Why only 16
gauge? It is a myth that you need speaker cables the size of a fire
hose for your system to perform properly. When using a 16 AWG
speaker cable, you do not have to worry about the impedance of your
system (speaker load). You can run up to 12 feet of 16 AWG speaker
cable into speakers as low as 2 ohms and still be well under 5% of
the overall impedance. Besides, how many people own 2 ohm
loudspeakers.

QUALITY
All Clarity Labs cable are
hand assembled and tested per order. Cables are matched to within
.1% to assure proper channel balance. Before shipping your new
Clarity Labs cables, all connector end are pre treated with
Pro-Gold. For the best continued performance, we recommend treating
all your cables within your system as well as all the connectors on
your components every 6 months at minimum. It's a very small price
to pay to keep your system performing at it's fullest potential.
DIRECTION
Clarity Labs cables are non-directional but it is always recommended to be consistent when hooking up audio interconnect and loudspeaker cables. Please always
run your Clarity Labs
cables so the signal is flowing in the same direction as the print on
the heat shrink.
TECHNICAL DATA
- Minimum inner bend radius 2.0 inches.
- When disconnecting, always pull on the connector and not the cable.
- The connectors are filled with an "anti-resonance" compound during assembly. Any attempt to disassemble
them will result in a broken connector and wire. THIS WILL NOT BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY.
- All cables have been tested and treated prior to releasing to you for you enjoyment
BURN-IN
Cable burn-in has always been and will continue to be controversial. However, we at response Audio do
believe cables, like all audio components, do require some time to settle in and sound their best. As a
general rule, we recommend giving Clarity Labs cables about 200 hours to reach their full potential.
Pure silver cables such as the Foxfire cables usually require a little more time but 200 hours is a safe
number for most all audio cables.
CHOOSING AUDIO CABLES
When purchasing audio cables, interconnects and/or
speaker cables, always purchase the shortest length needed to
connect your components yet allowing for some flexibility.
Clarity Labs
interconnect cables are not shielded and therefore we do not
recommend lengths in excess of 2 meters long. Response Audio is not
responsible for noise associated with any Clarity Labs cables.
