About

Dan Fluegel writes, produces, and sings in the band. He plays the 6, 12, 5, and sometimes 4 string guitar. Oh yeah, blows the harp and tickles the keys as well.

Pete Weston sings in the band. He also plays harmonica and many hard to pronounce instruments.

Mark Kenyon plays congas, tambourine, eggs and other percussive noisemakers. He can sing too.

Chuck Hromeck is the tingling backbone to the  rhythmic nuances that envelope their sound

JOSEE DESCHENES

Performing since the age of 12, Deschênes’ gifted and powerful vocal versatility and magnificent stage presence has earned the bilingual songstress recognition as one of Ottawa’s hidden gems. As a teenager performing at various provincial singing competitions and garnering top prizes, Deschênes matured along with her musical talent. Refining her style and gaining on-stage experience, she began singing with local bands, exploring various styles of music. Later in her years, she found her true passion in contemporary music. Josée’s “joie de vivre” has always had the ability to captivate an audience.

She is a proven musician in her own right. She has two successful CDs in her discography, one of which did well in the jazz genre (2003 “Shine” - The Josee Deschenes Group) and the other, an “ambiance” CD (2002 - “What It Is” - Josee Deschenes) that has been licensed for sale internationally with the Canadian Label - Unity Audio.

I don't know quite how to describe the genre of her style but I would classify her as New Age Jazz.  Pay special attention to tracks #1 and #5 for bass content as well as exceptional musical involvement. 

The disc has become one of our Reference disc for evaluating our Musica Bella speakers, exclusive modifications as well as a perfect reference disc for demonstrating systems to our customers.

........the CD from Bill at Response Audio got some airtime. The recording was very good, with excellent range, tone and body. It was a little more "produced" than most of the stuff I usually listen to, but a nice collection of tracks to show off a system. Musically, it represented a talented singer mixing a smooth-jazz genre with R&B sensibility..
