Introduction

The Musica Bella 'PhonoMax' is back and has been enhanced to a new level. The PhonoMax was designed to provide a high quality moving magnet stage while still providing the quality our products have been known for over the years.

Vinyl playback is continuing to grow in popularity. What was the most popular format in the 60's and 70's had made an extraordinary comeback over the past decade. One listening session with a quality vinyl playback system and you too will wonder why you did not make the transition sooner. The reason is simple....... vinyl simply touches the soul.

The Musica Bella PhonoMax is our reference quality stand alone moving magnet phono stage that has been designed to provide exceptional detail, resolution and speed to vinyl enthusiast.

Power Supply:

The Musica Bella PhonoMax is based around a high quality choke filtered solid state power supply which contains a host of high quality capacitors. High quality, low ESR capacitors are used for the main filter capacitors in the power supply, Ultra Fast - Soft Recovery diodes are used as well as independent transformers for the B+ and filament supplies. The same high quality diodes are used in our custom rectifying bridge used in the DC supply for the tube filaments.

With only two tubes, re-tubing or tube rolling in the Basis is easy and affordable.  Like all Musica Bella products, the PhonoMax comes with our 5 year parts and labor warranty

Phono Circuit:

The phono circuit is a zero feedback, perfect RIAA curve using a 12AX7 input and 12AU7 output tubes providing plenty of gain for all MM and high output MC phono cartridges. The circuit consist of high quality passive components including Dale RN and CW 1% & 5% resistors, Ultra Fast diodes by Fairchild and ClarityCap output coupling capacitors and more.

Chassis:

The chassis is built of Baltic Birch  Ply and veneered in only real wood veneers. Optional solid hardwood chassis' are also available for a minimum up charge. The chassis is internally lined with copper to eliminate interference.
